Island Kosljun

Kosljun is small island only 200 meters from Punat. You can visit the island with fast taxi boats from Punat, price is around 2,00 Euro. On the island is situated Franciscan monastery. Archives and library in monastery contain over 20,000 volumes, some of which are invaluable rare copies. There is also impressive ethnographic museum, a natural history and numismatic collection, as well as a permanent exhibition of sacral art. On the island is forbidden bathing and there aren`t any bars or restaurants. Island is perfect for walking because paths are settled through whole island. There are more than 500 plant species over island.
