Njivice
Njivice, once a litle fishing village, is now a favourite holiday place. Njivice are typcial tourist place on island Krk without some great historical monuments. But, first time was mentioned in 1474. In 1930 hotel "Luka" (today "Jadran") and villa "Dinka" were built, which is considered to be the beginning of tourism in Njivice.
Lovely beaches, exceptionally blue sea, plenty of shadow and mild climate together with excellent accomodation capacities are the basic characteristics which attracts guests and makes Njivice a more and more well known tourist centre
Beaches in the city are pebble and concrete, outside city are natural rocks in small inlets. Promenade "Antun Kosta" is situated outside city beaches direction Malinska. It is long about 1200 m and finishes in Kijac.
