Silo

Silo celebrates its day on 16th August on the festivity of St. Roch, which represents the continuation of the tradition initiated in mid 19th century, when the plague devastated our country. The inhabitants of Å ilo and many others vowed to St. Roch to save them from the plague, which marked the beginning of the votive St. Roch processions from Polje to the church of St. Nicholas in Å ilo.

In the center of the city is sandy beach suitable for kids; there are also concrete and pebble beaches. Every 19. July is organized traditional local fish feast. Silo is only few kilometers from Crikvenica and in high season with fast boats You will be there in only 5 minutes. Fast boat goes every 15 minutes but also on request.
